At First Alma, we say "sending" for much of our Outreach and Missions work because we believe every disciple of Jesus is sent - in Alma, into the nation, and around the world. We believe that the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20) is not the “Great Option,” but a command to all of his people to be engaged in the beautiful mission of our Lord Jesus: to make disciples of all nations. A clothing ministry that works with area school counselors and allows students in need to pick out clothing and toiletries. They accept clothing donations for all age children. Volunteers are welcome to help with sorting, folding, and assisting the students when they arrive. Our Women's Ministry oversees and manages this ministry.
Our Church sends volunteers to serve at the Community Outreach Center one week a month (Mon, Thur, and Sat 10am-12pm). Duties include sorting food and clothing, packing boxes for distribution, and assisting people as they come in for help.
